Nature Education Program
Atmosphere Academy extends learning outside the traditional classroom setting. Partnership in Westchester county helps students see life outside of the concrete jungle and experience the great outdoors. Scholars are exposed to methods of tracking animals in the wild, doing experiments to see whether the ecosystem in the woods is balanced and just an overall appreciation to nature.
A major component of our Nature Education Program is "student teach back". A smaller group of students are selected to learn the experiment or lesson and then reteach to their peers. This provides students with real life skills that are applicable during their time with Atmosphere and beyond.
